Blair’s Birthday
Born rooted and strong as the oak goddess
Into a scorpion storm
She knew to transform to the protectress and hawk
To fly and yet
Sit still enough
To know their folly
The center of it for the wit she fell in
For all the best wins have come
Friendships have grown
She imparts in the Joy
And yet she will still stand back and somehow know more
Warrior, she has the knowing when to pause
When to cipher with mother strength
The cause of love and justice
She knows no time
As nature and the scenery rebirth her constant
The new breeze over the rolling hills outside the window
The walk in moonlight alongside the large dog
Connecting to and with partner
sister
friend
daughter
Mother
Father
The strength we all can feel a country apart
For she knows that the straight path across the lake must also include cuts from left to right
Her warrior goddess in a time of change knows her own transformation
It spills over to influence
The gift of courageous love
We receive
She needs no witness and even more still now
She has the power to stand back and know how
in spirit
to soar again
Owen, Moley and Noirin
Remembering Ireland Journey
Welcome Benneacht
Come well with me
The invitation now placed on my heart
Broadened by these anam words
Noirin to me
I understand
she points to the divine
a light given at birth
Into the heart
Rooted from mothers
On Irish land
No Christianity required
But even that was welcomed here
Come back then
My heart beckons
to the poetry of the land
Where the goddesses drank from wells in equal delight
Atlantic Sea
And skelllig monk
Unfolds his land to me
As naturally as Kevin to a small bird
Only love required to cross this Irish threshold
Both dark and light
A home of no time
As Moley sings
Goodbye is too the welcome
Hearth winning over the beckon
My Cara awaits me there
So many friends
To walk with
David on the golden roads
Witnesses drop to green
Her spirit, yes Her
Is guiding us
always home
Again and again
to the light stepped dance of the heart
David Whyte's Mother
He speaks of her often
She is there
And now
Here with him
As he walks in the Burren
Being held in memory and comfort
Minimizing any space between us and that love
To remind of the Divine
The rounded curl of an apron
A small child grasps
At their initial landscape
Before the journey embarks
Only to come full circle
To the realization
We are a part of her
She has never not been
Our entire land and sky
Below, above and all encompassing
Leaving us to now wonder
Could anyone ever feel alone
