Hospital Lobby 

Steps take me there

Blue eyes await on the bed

Friend is here

I am friend
To say goodbye 

No pain can find her here
No more wait

all are bright here

No thoughts of mind can explain this 

because the large of God becomes over and over again in my simple breath 

Near her
almost over

In the simplest prayer we meet

We talk of love
Of ancestors large
Of daughters needs

Energies that withstand time

We have met them
and know

that between the veil of love everlasting
Our whispers to each other will come and go 

In the Holy Spirit

Oh wow
I tell myself on the way to the car
Now this is life 

Beyond any and so much larger than
Hospital gown can hold

The place where everything that is broken

suddenly repaired

Rest into that place, dear one

same as your perfect love at birth
